2G, 3G and 4G Self managing modems

linkCONNECT modems are Smart modems designed to need very little knowledge to link up any equipment over the GSM network and effectively be self managing from out-of-the-box. We have many customers now using linkCONNECT modems due to their simplicity to use and connect to with existing equipment where the connected equipment does not have to change at all.

linkCONNECT modems are self managing in that they work-out-of-the box and auto manage the GSM network. They detect the GSM network they are connecting to and self manage their connection and reconnection to the network as is required. linkCONNECT modems are also agnostic of what is connected to them and do not need any connected equipment intelligence to control them. linkCONNECT modems are configured by the user by SMS commands and AT.

We have dealt with all the common problems of staying connected to a network so that the linkCONNECT modems are simplicity to use with any application requiring GSM connectivity. If used as a Serial cable replacement it is configurable as a Client or Server and can use either static or dynamic IP SIM cards to effect either a connect on demand or "always on" serial connection. In this way you can upgrade any wired remote device to a much more flexible 2G, 3G or 4G connection with no knowledge required about AT commands or cellular wireless protocol. linkConnect modems are truly 'plug-n-play'. linkConnect modems can be used in many of the applications listed in here as they are protocol independent and are a truly reliable method of connecting your remote devices to a distant server etc.

linkCONNECT Client Mode

In the Client mode device acts as a client, simply connecting the terminal to a remote server at a pre-specified IP address and port. It can either be setup as ‘always connected’, or to connect only when data is received on the serial port. Once set up, the device needs no further intervention to remain in full client mode.

linkCONNECT Server Mode

In the Server mode device acts as a server, where the terminal listens for incoming connections from a remote client on a specified port. Additionally a source IP can be specified, and only connections from this IP will be accepted.
