Job Role: Product Manager/Business Manager

Sequoia Technology Group is seeking a Product Manager/Business Manager to drive our Siretta Antenna Division. Siretta Antennas, as a division of Sequoia Technology Group, has gone from strength to strength. We now have a brand and range of products that are known worldwide based on both quality of product and quality of service. With 30% growth in 2011 and a further 25% projected for 2012, we are now looking for someone to continue the success. This presents an exciting opportunity for the right individual.
Sequoia is a highly technical company offering design and technical expertise in all its chosen areas ranging from GPS, GPRS, 3G technologies for OEM equipment along with many sophisticated video chipsets and subsystems through to embedded module products and custom software. Always at the cutting edge of components and design Sequoia helps customers design in components and Sequoia designed subsystems to their end equipment.
Candidate Profile:
- The candidate must have previous experience in wireless technology.
- Knowledge of antennas and related products would be highly desirable.
- Previous experience in GPRS/GPS and 3G would be advantageous.
- Experience in project management would be advantageous.
Relationships and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Wireless Business Manager, the candidate will be responsible for running all aspects of antennas and a number of other selected products within the division. The duties will include:
- Covering and developing supply channels with a view to increasing the range of products available to Sequoia.
- Covering and developing world wide distribution sales channels with a view to exploring new markets.
- Generate marketing material on the Siretta wireless products.
- In control of pricing structure, quotations and inventory.
- Supporting own customers as well as providing high level support to the field sales team and distribution channels.
- Work to an agreed and defined annual sales budget.
- Assist in the development of new products for Sequoia Technology.
Location:
The position is office based, but flexibility and travel will be required.
Salary and Benefits:
- OTE earnings of £35-40K expected

PHP Software Developer Vacancy
Kiosks4business, a division of Sequoia Technology Ltd are seeking an enterprising web design software engineer who wants to express their flair for design and take a key role in developing new products.
We are a leader in designing touch screen kiosk hardware and software applications and pride ourselves in creating well crafted solutions which are intuitive and engaging for end users. A young and dynamic team of 25 and growing with sales growth of 25% last year and 20% next year. Our systems use content management systems (CMS) to provide dynamically updatable sites which include high level features for our customers.
As a talented developer with skills in PHP & MySQL this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing design team creating innovative applications for Local Government, The NHS and other customers.
Candidate Profile
Already working in a PHP based web development role, you will be highly organised and self-motivated, happy to work as part of a team and on your own at times. Preferably with experience of designing applications for touchscreens, survey software and CMS development.
Relationships and Responsibilties:
Reporting to the Kiosks4business division manager the responsibilities cover but are not limited to:
- Development of touchscreen based survey software including touchscreen rendering and server side database management.
- Development of a virtual reception touch screen application
- Development of customer specific touchscreen applications
- Working with our support team to provide 2nd line support and remote fault fixes (VNC) and updating CRM system with any work done in support of customers.
- Help sales/marketing to create software for customer demos and exhibitions
- Help with documentation and administration of software changes
- Occasional customer visits to provide technical support to sales team
Location:
The position is based at our office in Reading and may include occasional travel
Qualifications and Experience
You will have at least four years relevant experience of developing web-based applications in a Linux/Apache environment. Specific skills include:
- PHP, MySQL, CSS, HTML, XML
- J-QUERY, AJAX, Good experience of Javascript and client side scripting
- MySQL database design, Administration and backup
Desirable Experience:
- Use of SiteKiosk and SiteKiosk object model scripting
- Integrating web applications with VOIP, printers and other peripherals.
Other software experience would be of benefit though not essential as this opportunity gives you scope to learn and develop your skills.
Salary Guide:
Depending on relevant experience and suitability for the projects to be developed ideally you will have solid experience in survey software though a proven track record in a similar field would be of interest also.
Salary Range: £28k to £35k
