The Oscar 18 is a Yagi-directional wall / bracket mount antenna, operating on quad band GSM/GPRS and Wifi frequencies. Constructed from durable PVC and supplied with a mounting bracket, this Yagi antenna can be easily mounted outside to a pole or solid flat surface such as an office brick wall. Its Yagi design provides superior performance for cellular applications in rural areas where signal reception is particularly low. The radiating element from this Yagi antenna performs in a directional manner, producing an impressive peak gain of 10dBi to maximise signal transmission and reception that is vital for long distance and poor signal area communication. Common applications for the Oscar 18 include: base station purposes, remote monitoring, and alarm & security systems.
The Oscar 18 is tuned to quad band GSM/GPRS, 3G/UMTS and WiFi/WLAN, making this antenna a very mainstream performer. Its wide operating frequency band allows for worldwide cellular applications over the quad band GSM networks and also high speed data via 3G/UMTS, or via WiFi with its 2.4GHz operating frequency. All of this is aided by an impressive peak gain of 10dBi.
This Yagi antenna is supplied with 150mm of cable, terminated with an N-Type Female connector. Installers will require an extension cable to allow routing and maximum elevation to best optimise site communications. You will require an RG58 cable with an N-Type Male connector on one end (for antenna connection) and a connector of your choice on the other end. Select the ‘Cables’ tab at the top, then ‘Extension Cables’ and then filter by ‘N-Type Male’ connector, to see the various cable options available.
