The JN5148 family is a range of ultra low power, high performance, ready to use surface mount modules targeted at ZigBee PRO and IEEE802.15.4 networking applications, enabling users to integrate a 2.4GHz wireless device and get to market quickly with a field proven range of devices.
The JN5148-001-M04 benefits from an on board LNA for extended range and has a UFL connector allowing a seperate antenna (such as the Siretta Echo 11 http://www.sequoia.co.uk/shop/product.php?p=714) allowing ranges up to 4km. With the module measuring just 18x41mm, the module is fully compliant with FCC, RSS, ETSI and ARIB standards.
