GPIB IEEE-488 interface IEEE-488 interface 95-00005

1. Only one of the two OPT-F16 options may be fitted.
2. OPT-F16 Option BNC requires that BNC option 95-00016 be fitted.

Upgrade / Conversion options

The option cards and other options listed above may be added to to an existing 802 at a later date if required. To do this supply Sequoia the units to be upgraded serial number. There is still a limit of no more than one option card in a unit. The upgrade will have to be fitted by the factory, so the unit will need to be returned. Additionally, there are 2 further options available for older units:

Description Upgrade Implemented Part Number
802 HDMI 1.1 Tx upgrade Upgrades HDMI 1.0 to 1.1 78-00035
802 HDCP upgrade Adds HDCP production keys to older 802BT/R 95-00006

Special Packages

There are a number of special packages where an 802 is supplied with options and cables for a specific application. In this case, the one part number fully specifies the package:

Description Application Part Number
802R-400 Kit FAA Air Traffic Control System for 2K x 2K monitors 00-00171
802BT CASS Package designed as a form, fit and function replacement for the 802GX originally used in NAVAIR CASS applications 00-00188
802R300OPTLMC-F16 Lockheed Martin F-16 Package 78-00053

Quantum Data 802BT/R Video Test Generator

The 802 Series is a multi-media video signal generator for testing CRTs, flat panels, projectors and TVs including HDTV. The 802 is optimal for DTV, digital and analogue displays and allows production and engineering users to create the most complex test images. You get the flexibility required to meet a tough production budget with the wide range of outputs the 802 offers. The PCMCIA slot makes it easy to copy one generator configuration to another.

  • DTV signal capability. Pre-programmed standard DTV formats are ready for immediate use. Digital outputs support YCbCr colour encoding. Analogue outputs support tri-level composite sync and YPbPr.
  • 200-400 MHz analogue pixel rate (dependant on model). Programmable precision RGB, YPbPr.
  • Probe. Trigger a scope or inspection camera using the probe signal. Position a pulse anywhere in the frame using the 802's knobs.
  • Self-calibrating. Analogue video outputs are automatically adjusted against an internal precision reference. This assures video levels that are precise and reliable. Signal levels are auto-adjusted individually.
  • RS-232. Industry standard serial interface.
  • Application Programming Interface (API). We provide the code needed to connect to your ATE application program.
  • Video Generator Manager™ software. Provides a Windows-based user interface for controlling the generator, creating formats and images, upgrading firmware, creating test sequences, and more.
  • PCMCIA drive. Clone one generator to another using a standard RAM memory card.
  • Easy firmware updates with flash EPROMs. Update your generator using a PC and VGM™ software.
  • Built-in formats. Over 250 popular video formats are built-in including VESA, ATSC, EIA-770.x, SMPTE 170, 240, 267, 274, 293, 295, 296, Australian, EIA/CEA-861D, NTSC, NTSC-J, NTSC-443, PAL, PAL-60, and PAL-N.
  • Format justify. Reduces the pixel clock on formats exceeding the 802's maximum, while maintaining image centering and the original horizontal and vertical frequencies. This allows you to perform many tests on medical and ultra-high res displays without the cost of a 600 MHz video generator. Easily test 4096 x 4096 displays, and higher.
  • Test images. Over 300 built-in test images let you accurately adjust a display or projector to the same accuracy as the original factory settings. Images test colour, size, linearity, convergence, focus, persistence and more.
  • Bitmap download. Use the USB or serial port to download custom 8-bit or 24-bit bitmap (.bmp) images from your PC.
  • 24-bit pixel depth
  • WinColorKit. Microsoft's colour matching standard is supported with a new interactive image (sRGBflat).
